Byron Supports Qantas’ Boeing 737 Retro Remake
Tuesday 29 March 2016
Byron has teamed up with Qantas to turn back aviation time, providing a range of products and services to refurbish the Boeing 737.
The 12 month long program that commenced in mid 2015 will unveil two factory-fresh Boeing 737s painted in a ‘flying kangaroo’ retro-livery, complete with ‘Roo’ plaques, supplied by Byron from the original 1960s logo.
Glen Walker, Byron Chief Executive Officer, said “Qantas holds a special place in the hearts of many Australian’s so Byron is honored to be supplying the ‘Roo’ plaques, that will be positioned at the front door for all passengers to see upon entry, and for many, inspiring a fond trip down memory lane.”
Byron will also support the upgrade of the fleet of 67 Qantas’ B737s from new, high-strength laminate for the business class meal tables to stowage bin divider panels.
