Mobile Medical Unit Success Story

Thursday, 07 May, 2015

Byron Group were recently approached by Aspen Medical in early 2015 to refurbish their Mobile Surgical Unit which was returning from a deployment in the Solomon Islands. The brief consisted of bringing the specialist piece of equipment up to stringent Australian standards. Following delays with the unit clearing AQIS, and a firm contract in place for deployment from April 1st, the pressure was on to have the trailer ready for handover.

With tight Project Management and extensive Scope of Work in place, work began in earnest, developing a project plan and timeline in order to deliver on the extremely tight deadline. While it’s safe to say there were more than a few ups downs along the way, the unit pulled out of Brendale late on 31st March, arriving at its destination in Gladstone for deployment as per its contractual commitments.

Aspen Medical Operation Manager, Andrew Stone said “I am extremely happy in the manner Byron Group took on this project. They fully understood the brief and the ridiculously tight deadline on hand, I was in total confidence that they would deliver on time. From a customer’s perspective, I am very, very, happy with the overall outcome and delivery of this project. Well done to Stephen Moss, Nigel McEwen and the rest of the team in Brendale QLD.”

At the Byron Group, we design, we engineer and we manufacture a wide range of solution tailored to satisfy your specific needs.
