Monday, 17th August, 2015

St John Ambulance NT provided their next generation 4WD Ambulance as a support vehicle for the Finke Desert Race. This vehicle fitted with the latest ETT ambulance interior was a hit with St John staff and patients. The ETT/St John designed interior was manufactured by ETT in Sydney and installed by St John in Darwin and was specifically built for St John’s new Toyota HiAce SLWB 4WD ambulances which have been chosen to replace the ageing and much smaller Troop Carrier based ambulance fleet.

The new ETT HiAce SLWB Ambulance interior, together with the Australian designed, developed and manufactured EnduroCo 4WD Toyota HiAce platform, combine to set a new standard in the genuine 4WD ambulance market. With wanted features such as an automatic transmission, the vehicles 4 star ANCAP rating, internal size (9000 litres) and host of electronic driver aids as well as the on/off road ride and performance show that ETT and EnduroCo are partnering for success.
The state of the art ETT interior in conjunction with the HiAce gives a unique and flexible platform, genuine 2H / 4L / 4H four wheel drive, full volume second stage compliance and the knowledge of having passed the tough international lane change stability and safety test.

ETT have a range of concept ambulance interiors for the HiAce platform including ambulance, dual stretcher ambulance and patient transport vehicle. This can also be specified as an off road vehicle for remote community transport, disable transport or beach/outback tourist bus applications up to 14 seats.
